University of Alcalá (UAH) was founded in 1499 and it is one of the oldest universities in Spain. It is located in Alcalá de Henares, a UNESCO world heritage site only thirty kilometres from the centre of Madrid. Today UAH is a modern institution which offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes adapted to the European Higher Education Area and covering all fields of knowledge, from the humanities to engineering, and from the social sciences to experimental and biomedical sciences. Around 28000 students —approximately 16000 undergraduates and 12000 postgraduates — are currently reading for a regulated degree at UAH.
The activities of UAH take place across its three different campuses: two in the city of Alcalá de Henares in the region of Madrid and one in Guadalajara, which belongs to another Spanish administrative region, Castilla La Mancha. The university also has 4 associated teaching hospitals, 10 multidisciplinary university institutes, two science and technology parks with tens of companies and numerous other installations devoted to experimental and biomedical research. The Department of Computer Sciences is having a total number of more than 50 full time researchers and teachers, around 30 part-time as well as over 15 research assistants and ICT technicians.

Fondazione Comunitaria di Agrigento e Trapani
The Community Foundation of Agrigento and Trapani is a philanthropic body set up in 2019, aiming at the promotion of cultural, environmental and socioeconomic development of South Western Sicily territory and community. The Foundation, whose action is focused on a territory rich in terms of natural, cultural and historical resources but characterized by a high rate of unemployment, low presence of business activities and emigration of young people, aims to boost local strengths and opportunities, turning the potential of Agrigento and Trapani provinces into engines of culture and socio-economic rebirth.
The Foundation aims to support the development of strategic synergies between local actors leading to sustainable and inclusive development of the territory through innovative actions of community involvement and capacity building. It supports local community development in strict collaboration with other local, national and international actors, facilitating and promoting the creation of common initiatives in the following areas: promotion of community welfare in education and assistance; support to the creation of socially responsible youth enterprises, enhancement of the cultural and natural heritage.
The Foundation operates through a "listening and action" model: the initiatives are designed and developed with participatory approaches, involving since the beginning the stakeholders in the context analysis, needs and opportunities identification and design of possible solutions for the enhancement of the territory and general socio-economic sustainable development of the entire community.

ACEEU GmbH
An affiliate of ENQA and a full-fledged member of INQAAHE, ACEEU is an international quality assurance body dedicated to advancing higher education by supporting universities in their transformation process towards becoming more entrepreneurial and engaged. With the ultimate goal of fostering the creation of greater social, economic and cultural impacts by universities, ACEEU accredits universities around the world in its two main accreditation programmes: Entrepreneurial University Accreditation and Engaged University Accreditation. Having successfully accredited institutions in Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia, with 20+ more institutions in the process, the Council is currently designing a departmental level accreditation, as well as a program level accreditation on 21st Century Skills.
Aiming to create a pathway towards recognised excellence in entrepreneurship and engagement for universities, ACEEU’s activities are clustered around three main steps: promoting, evaluating, and celebrating excellence.
Founded in 2016 as part of the University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, ACEEU spun out of UIIN in 2019 to form an independent organization, and moved its headquarters to Muenster in Germany. ACEEU has 11 staff members and is backed by a 35+ person strong Council comprised of international experts.

Center for Knowledge Management
The Center for Knowledge Management (CKM) is a research and educational center (think and do-thank) established in 2008. CKM works in the areas of innovation, circular economy, entrepreneurship, technology and education. In particular of work, CKM’s activities can be classified in several areas:
-At macro level, CKM conducts research and analysis in the area of local, national, and regional development for the purpose of exploring current and proposing new policies, measures and projects in the area of sustainable economic development, science and innovation, business enabling environment and entrepreneurship (youth and women).
-At micro level, CKM works towards supporting technology transfer, innovation and competitiveness across the dominant industries and sectors in the country and the SEE region.
-At individual/organizational level, CKM works with youth, women, innovators, entrepreneurs, SMEs in the area of strengthening the available human capital, increasing the digital skills, and supporting entrepreneurial mindset, the principles of circular economy and innovations in North Macedonia and the wider Balkan Mediterranean region.
CKM is an official EUROSTAT recognized Research Center and one of three EU recognized centers in North Macedonia.
